Mi trabajo es intuitivo y experimental. En mi obra reciente utilizo el cuerpo y prendas relacionadas con \u00e9l, (vestidos, zapatos) como una met\u00e1fora de la experiencia humana. Con el uso de materiales aparentemente \u00abfr\u00e1giles\u00bb (papel, ramos, flores, etc\u00e9tera) deseo mostrar que la vulnerabilidad es una fortaleza y oportunidad para conectar, reflexionar y ser aut\u00e9ntico. La figura femenina tiene una fuerza, una inteligencia y una fragilidad que lo comparo con la naturaleza. La transformaci\u00f3n de la conciencia humana y las relaciones cotidianas de la vida me inspiran. Lo mundano y lo metaf\u00edsico siempre est\u00e1n interconectados y siempre presente en mi trabajo.<\/p>\n

Cynthia Fusillo tiene un M\u00e1ster en Bellas Artes, de New York University un M\u00e1ster en Psicolog\u00eda de la Universidad de Santa Monica. Ella ha estado viviendo en Barcelona desde hace 12 a\u00f1os, donde ha expuesto en varias galer\u00edas y el Museo de Sabadell. Fusillo ha vivido en Nueva York la mayor parte de su vida donde recibi\u00f3 dos subvenciones del ARTIST\u2019S SPACE, y ha expuesto en el DRAWING CENTER, A.I.R Gallery, el Museo de Queens y el Museo de Arte del Bronx. Tambien Fusillo ha participado en varias ferias de arte: Art Miami, Art Chicago, Scope New York, Scope Basel. Recientemente Cynthia ha recibido el Premio de Plata en la convocatoria internacional, ARTfad, en Barcelona.Su trabajo anterior ha incluido el dise\u00f1o textil, pinturas, instalaciones y monotipos. La obra de Cynthia es visualmente po\u00e9tica y inspirada en la experiencia humana. Una alquimia de met\u00e1fora y simbolismo. <\/p>\n

My work is intuitive and experimental. In my recent work I use the body and body-related items (clothing, shoes) as a metaphor of the human experience. Using seemingly \u00abfragile\u00bb materials (paper, bouquets, flowers, etc.) I want to show that vulnerability is a strength and opportunity to connect, reflect and be authentic. The female figure has a strength, intelligence and fragility which I compare it with nature. The transformation of human consciousness and everyday relations of life inspire me. The mundane and the metaphysical are always interconnected and always present in my work.<\/p>\n

Cynthia Fusillo has a Master degree of Fine Arts, in New York University ,a Master in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She has been living in Barcelona for 12 years, where she has exhibited in various galleries and the Museum of Sabadell. Fusillo has lived in New York most of her life where he received two grants from the ARTIST’S SPACE, and has exhibited at the DRAWING CENTER, AIR Gallery, the Queens Museum of Art and the Museum of Bronx. Fusillo also has participated in several art fairs: Art Miami, Art Chicago, New York Scope, Scope Basel. Cynthia recently received the Silver Award in the international call, ARTFAD in Barcelona.Her previous work has included textile design, paintings, installations and monotypes.
