A todas luces, nos encontramos en la Era de la Comunicaci\u00f3n. Son m\u00faltiples las v\u00edas y los medios de que disponemos para comunicarnos con los otros por muy lejos que se encuentren. Gran parte del desarrollo actual se centra en facilitar y optimizar esta comunicaci\u00f3n desde la revoluci\u00f3n que ha supuesto Internet en la vida cotidiana de las personas.
\nParalelamente a este desarrollo se puede detectar como este acto comunicacional, que en el pasado era tan sencillo, se ha convertido en un complejo sistema que proporciona soluciones pero al mismo tiempo tambi\u00e9n problemas nuevos que requieren de nuevas reflexiones. Partiendo de esta premisa encontramos en esta muestra dos ejemplos ante la Incomunicaci\u00f3n actual que sufren los individuos, rodeados de tecnolog\u00eda que posibilita o incluso obliga, a comunicarse pero que nos sigue aislando de lo que tenemos m\u00e1s cerca.
\nBajo este prisma nos presentan Varvara Guljajeva & Mar Canet su proyecto SPAMpoetry, realizado en diversas residencias en ciudades Europeas. El objetivo de este proyecto es combinar la cultura digital con la artesan\u00eda tradicional. Concretamente, experimentar con la forma y el significado del SPAM. Reutilizan el SPAM de una forma rom\u00e1ntica, divertida y sarc\u00e1stica en forma de poes\u00eda presentada de manera inusual y tangible desde el concepto textil tricotado. El SPAM se genera de forma autom\u00e1tica y con SPAMpoetry se pretende reciclar de la misma manera, mediante algoritmos, convirti\u00e9ndolo en un patr\u00f3n que se descarga en una m\u00e1quina de tricotar modificada. La m\u00e1quina entiende autom\u00e1ticamente las coordenadas del patr\u00f3n aunque el proceso de tricotar se realiza manualmente.<\/p>\n

Varvara Guljajeva es una artista de Estonia, que trabaja con el arte, la gente, la tecnolog\u00eda y los materiales. Su experimentaci\u00f3n se centra en el arte participativo, instalaciones interactivas y esculturas cin\u00e9ticas. A menudo trabaja sobre su propio reflejo en la sociedad, el medio ambiente y la ciber-identidad. Varvara compagina su vertiente creativa con la docencia en la Interfaz de las Culturas en el Arte de la Universidad de Linz y ha impartido talleres en diversos pa\u00edses.
\nMar Canet centra su actividad en la visualizaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica de diferentes tipos de datos con base tecnol\u00f3gica. Comparte su actividad creativa en diversos grupos art\u00edsticos alrededor del arte y los nuevos medios, aportando una visi\u00f3n en ocasiones ir\u00f3nica y en ocasiones est\u00e9tica de los diferentes rangos de datos.
\nEl trabajo conjunto de Varvara y Mar se articula alrededor de la sobre-saturaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n de la actualidad, tratando los datos de diferentes tipolog\u00edas para dar nuevas visualizaciones de \u00e9stos a nivel de luz, sonido o instalaciones de muy diversa \u00edndole. Pretenden presentar la realidad que nos rodea con un aspecto y sentido diferente apoy\u00e1ndose en datos concretos y reley\u00e9ndolos de manera inusual con herramientas nuevas o readaptadas.<\/p>\n

Clearly , we are in the Age of Communication . There are multiple ways and mediums available to communicate with others who are far away . Most of this current development focuses on facilitating and optimizing this communication from the Internet revolution that has resulted in the daily lives of people .
\nParallel to this development can be detected as this communicational act, which in the past was so simple , it has become a complex system that provides solutions at the same time also new problems that require new thinking . On this basis we find two examples in the actual in communication which individuals suffer, surrounded by technology that allows or even requires , to communicate but we still are isolated from what we have close by.
\nIn this light Varvara Guljajeva & Mar Canet presents us their SPAM poetry project,realized in various residences in European cities . The objective of this project is to combine digital culture with traditional crafts. Specifically , experimenting with the form and meaning of SPAM. They utilize SPAM in a romantic , funny and sarcastic way, in the form of poetry presented in an unusual and tangible, knitted fabric concept . The SPAM is generated automatically and is intended SPAMpoetry recycle the same way , using algorithms , making a pattern that is discharged into a modified knitting machine . The machine will automatically understand the coordinates of the pattern while the knitting process is done manually .<\/p>\n

Varvara Guljajeva is an artist from Estonia. She works with art, people, technology and its materials. Her experimentation is focused on the participatory arts, interactive installations and kinetic sculptures. She frequently works on her own reflection of society, the environment and the cyber-identity. Varvara combines her creativity with teaching the Interface of Sculptures in Art at Linz University and has imparted workshops in many countries.
\nMar Canet focuses his activity in the artistic visualization of different types of data with a technological basis. He shares his creative activity with many artistic groups surrounding art and the new means, contributing his vision, sometimes ironic and sometimes esthetic on the different types of data.
\nVarvara and Mar\u2019s associated work is created focused on the excessive saturation of today\u2019s information.
