PANCHO TOLCHINSKY – Mitte Barcelona

Pancho Tolchinsky plays with what we see, what we don’t and what we can only imagine. In his work Tolchinsky presents us with harmonious configuration of objects and little details that have quietly seattle down as part of a daily life. Each picture invites us for a contemplation of choice, of the little decisions of those we don’t see but can sense. His
work is an exploration of wonder. To wonder about those who shaped the portrayed scene, to wonder about their reality and about the world they build for themselves.

Bio

I was born in Mexico 1978, though I’m not Mexican. My family is Argentinean, I grew up in Israel and for the rest I have been living mostly in Barcelona. For the sake of simplicity let’s say I’m from Barcelona.
I’m a self-taught photographer, with background in Math and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence.
Over the years I’ve been developing a fascination for how people arrange their private space in order to create a meaningful world for themselves.
And occasionally I do some fashion photography.
